Ni2P/MoS2 interfacial structures loading on N-doped carbon matrix for highly efficient hydrogen evolution

The N-doped porous carbon matrix loaded with Ni2P/MoS2 was prepared through a simple hydrothermal-phosphorization method. The synergetic interfacial effect between Ni2P and MoS2 provided good electrocatalytic performance and high stability for hydrogen evolution.

The feasibility study of the indium oxide supported silver catalyst for selective hydrogenation of CO2 to methanol

The feasibility of selective hydrogenation of carbon dioxide to methanol on Ag/In2O3 has been confirmed theoretically and experimentally. The intense Ag–In2O3 interaction promotes the formation of oxygen vacancy, causing the enhanced activation and dissociation of CO2. The enhanced CO2 dissociation leads to the methanol synthesis via the CO hydrogenation route.

Converting poly(ethylene terephthalate) waste into N-doped porous carbon as CO2 adsorbent and solar steam generator

Without activations, poly(ethylene terephthalate) is facilely converted into N-doped porous carbon through stepwise crosslinking strategy by using melamine and molten salts ZnCl2/NaCl at 550 °C, which shows high-performance in CO2 capture and solar steam evaporation for producing drinkable water.

Selective conversion of biomass-derived furfuryl alcohol into n-butyl levulinate over sulfonic acid functionalized TiO2 nanotubes

Sulfonic acid functionalized titanate nanotubes were prepared by the sulphonation reaction of hydrothermally synthesized TiO2 nanotubes. The as-prepared catalysts exhibited the high activities in selective conversion of furfuryl alcohol into n-butyl levulinate.

We develop a citrate-assisted deposition concept to achieve a uniform lithium-conductive LiNbO3 coating layer on the NCM523 surface. Therefore, the capacity retention at 10C have been improved from 45% to 63% relative to 0.2C.

Room-temperature solid phase surface engineering of BiOI sheets stacking g-C3N4 boosts photocatalytic reduction of Cr(VI)

Design and prediction for highly efficient SO2 capture from flue gas by imidazolium ionic liquids

On the basis of quantitative calculations through a combination of Langmuir simulation, theoretical calculation and quantum chemical method, SO2 absorption and desorption performance from flue gas by twelve kinds of imidazolium ionic liquids with different anions were designed and predicted. An ideal ionic liquid [Emim][Tetz] was obtained through the predictive method for the capture of SO2 of 2000 ppm, which shows the highest available absorption capacity.

Recent progress on synthesis of ZIF-67-based materials and their application to heterogeneous catalysis

In this review, we discuss various strategies for the preparation of ZIF-67-based materials including the solvothermal method, surfactant-assisted method, sol–gel method, and microwave/ultrasound-assisted method. We also discuss the applications of ZIF-67-based materials in heterogeneous catalysis fields including the redox reactions, addition reactions, esterifications, Knoevenagel condensations, and hydrogenation–dehydrogenation reactions.

Unusual thermal properties of graphene origami crease: A molecular dynamics study
